Smoking and the licensed trade

While total bans on smoking are still relatively uncommon, restrictions on smoking in public places are becoming more popular all over the world.

In fact the majority of European Governments have agreed laws, which provide choice and accommodation for both smokers and non-smokers through exemptions for the licensed trade, the provision of separate smoking and non-smoking areas or separately ventilated rooms.
