The sudden need for smoking facilities has caused a boom in the supply of materials with which to equip them. Inevitably this has brought in some 'rogue' traders and so, as ever, you should ensure that you:
- Check the references of any company that you deal with
- Visit, or at least talk to, someone who has benefited from their product or services already
- Do not pay for the product 'up-front'; it may never appear
- Get quotations from at least two, ideally three, competitive companies
- Have all of the required permissions before you buy
- Have a written agreement with the supplier
