Issues with Air Cleaners

Although simple to install and relatively cheap there are some issues with using air cleaners. These are mainly:

Maintenance and filter changes are essential – without regular filter changes the equipment ceases to work

Function – air cleaners usually only remove particles, leaving many ETS gases in the air, these will not be removed unless you also have ventilation

Noise – some equipment is noisy when run at high levels, this can lead to consumers asking for it to be switched off

Draughts – when run at high levels the high airflows can be uncomfortable and lead to consumers asking for it to be switched off

Appearance – some equipment is ugly
