Smoking Booths

Smoking boothSmoking booths are a relatively new idea in the United Kingdom, but are well established in Europe. The booth is placed in a room (they normally require just a domestic 240V electricity supply) and smokers move into the booth to smoke.

The booth is equipped with powerful fans that carry smoke directly from the lit cigarette and through a series of filters before returning the cleaned air to the room.

Well-constructed smoking booths are surprisingly effective with no smoke drift from the open side of the booth into the surrounding room, and no detectable tobacco smell in the discharged air.

They can be leased or purchased and require regular maintenance and especially filter changes. Further information can be found on manufacturers’ websites.
